24 bit flac General error 1
« on: August 12, 2005, 02:41:29 PM »
I have some 24 bit wave files that I want to flac. I selected the 24 bit alternative box and hit encode. After each track it said GENERAL ERROR1. I decoded the flac files back to wave and they seem to play fine. So what's the error code mean? Thanks ya'll.

Going off the top of my head I believe General Error 1 means that the FLAC encoder couldn't guess what to put into the tags for your newly made files.  If that is indeed the case you shouldn't worry.  All that means is that the file's info tags aren't correct.  You can ignore the error and the world won't come crashing down, but if you'd like to correct it, check out this: http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1140
