Topic: Can a magnet damage the recording?

I am much curious care the purchase of a jacket adapted to the stealth taping, I have found this:http://www.scottevest.com/v3_store/Classic_bk.shtml but I have read on the site, instead of the buttons It has magnets.
Well, for a normal use I find that idea is much practical and comfortable , but for my purpose    a magnet series, will not go to disturb the audio signal ?  and the compact flash card of mine edirol R1?
