help needed please
« on: June 25, 2004, 11:24:15 AM »
Hi, this is my first time here.  Could someone please navigate me to a discussion where I can ask questions about what type of equipment is needed to record a show?  Thank you very much.

Scroll down the list of boards until you get to Archive Information, then look at the first few threads inside there... particularly Newbie Central.
Governor Jim McGreevey was equally disturbed about the upcoming population increase. "New Jersey cannot support all of these wookies," he said. "For starters, we don't have nearly enough kindbud. At best, we can muster up a Q.P. of some beasties, but we've not a dime-bag more."

LOL, thanks so much.  I was able to find a very cohesive post by a "Brian Skalinder".  Will at least get me started.

Next question: The best place to purchase a Sony D8 portable DAT recorder on the net?

check the "yard sale" section here.  Post an ISO for a D8 or similar and people will respond.  Most on this board are reputable, but you should check the good transactions thread in the yard sale for info or ask the seller for references for other gear they sold.  ask questions if you have them.  everyone here is friendly.  good luck!

Question's already answered, but might I suggest considering a Nomad Jukebox 3.  There's a FAQ in the Archival Info forum about it.  :)

I thought that I would post an update:

ConveyHerselfAway (aka: rubyruby) has become a great taper (and my lovely girlfriend too). She recorded the stones 8th row center with her JB3. She has also made many killer Radiators sbd recordings. I'm glad she on ts.com...hopefully she'll post more....
