Is there any issue running U89s upside down? This is kinda part 2 to my clamping post. I found a nice clamp set up that will support the mics fine...I'm just considering running them inverted to prevent them from flopping over with the weight of that makes sense. Seems like a great idea in my living room...lol

No problem

I kinda figured but wanted to check...some of my best pulls were running them on a very bar parallel to the ground @ 90 degrees...

I frequently ran ADK TLs upside-down for increased stability and it worked very well.. or sideways if I needed a couple extra inches of spacing on limited width mounting bar. Sideways also makes for less visual occlusion with the mics sort of in-line with each other, but the elastics need to be tight enough and properly adjusted to keep them level.

Just make sure that whatever's holding them won't drop them.
BTW, if you're recording M/S with this type of microphone (i.e. "side-addressed"), the side-facing figure-8 doesn't have to be vertical at all; the microphone can very well be horizontal, with its capsule head pointing forward, as long as the capsule remains vertical within the capsule head.
