New toy 1, I finally found a PV14L. It hasn't been upgraded to the 2 but it has the mullards. Holy shit! There is amazing clarity around instruments in the image. Before, the image was clear but now there is really well defined space around everything. And it is alot more quiet than I expected. Wow.
New toy 2, I have a pioneer elite player on loan and I finally went out and got some material. I picked up a Diana Krawl DVDA. Holy shit again! I never have heard my system sound so good. I never heard anything sound so good. The sound is really silky - like vinyl. Now I understand why you guys with laptops go to the hassle.
