$99, but does it support gapless tracks?

doubt it.  i bet it's just a reboxed discwelder stell v.1, before it supported gapless.  i looked at the screenshot on that page and if it worked like discwelder steel, there would be a column that says "Info" or something and there would be a green "G" next to each track that has no gap before it.  so i'd guess that this is not gapless.

I got another reply to my inquiry about DW Bronze:

Quote
Wes,
The new discWelder Bronze will be a very basic DVD-Authoring tool for $99. It will import any PCM audio allowed by the DVD-A spec, just like STEEL. It creates a "black disc" meaning no menu or pictures just plays similar to what a CD would in a DVD-A player, but won't contain our exclusive "gapless" feature found in our higher end STEEL or CHROME products.
Thanks,
Craig

That is a bummer...  hopefully, they will revise this with enough consumer interest.  Give it a few months...

it's gonna be great when everyone gets the sd boxes and is sending me their best 24bit files for dvd-a authoring.  i might sell my rig and just listen to other people's tapes!

I posed the same question as the guy on digi-panic and got the same response:

Wes,
That is true, as of yesterday. We will update STEEL with some new cool features to distinguish its price point. Stay tuned!
Thanks,
Craig

I recently heard that the specs for Discwelder Bronze had changed and that DWB will now support your gapless feature.  Is this true?
