The smallest laptops...
« on: September 10, 2003, 05:02:59 PM »

http://www.dynamism.com/index.shtml

These guys sell some of the smallest laptops you'll see. Some amazing stuff that would be great for taping. Not cheap though. These are jap notebooks that aren't available in the US. This company takes them and puts in US operating systems. And they do come with a warranty. They've been highly rated by a lot of PC magazines. So I assume they're a good company to do  business with. But I've not purchased anything from them myself. Just thought you guys might want some new toys to look at.

Eh, I'm not one for political correctness (for reasons I won't go into as this isn't a politics forum). However, I'm curious, would you have said anything if I had referred to an Australian product as aussie made?

Probably not...the term "jap" as I see it would be associated with WWII, Pearl Harbor, etc.  The term aussie, uhh, associated with kangaroo's I guess ??? 8)

Yeah well, my kangaroo is offended at your lack of sensitivity towards his race and native country.

Well, my Australian cousins call themselves Aussies (or Ozzies) - it's not an insulting term in and of itself to anyone. But I can't say I know any Japanese people who would call themselves Japs. :hmmm:

dynamism is like hustler for geeks.

i forget the site that was a predecessor to it...  same company - before they changed the name to dynamism.. anyway a company i used to work for bought three sharp notebooks off them in 2000 and had no problems.

I purchased a Picturebook C1MZX from them last spring, and they are an excellent company, and a pleasure to do business with.
I also have several friends who have purchased picturebooks from them, w/o problems, as well.
The japanese versions are more powerful than their US counterparts, and often have features the US ones, don't.
Like Bluetooth on the C1MZX.. and the larger (60 gig) HD..
