Taping Cast Iron Filter???
« on: May 22, 2003, 02:39:11 PM »
I'm going to cast iron filter tonite in huntsville and will probably be the only taper there. ;)

i plan on running my octava cards in a loose din or closed ortf...whatever

i also have a set of at853's...i know the place and will pretty much have the run of the place.

question...run the 853's onstage?...what caps and config.
I've never run onstage and want to try, just dont want it to be a total flop.

any ideas? ??? ???

thanks

I would not recommend running on stage with CIF, since their music is heavy on the vocals, which you will not get on stage since they will be going through the PA.

I would recommend running the oktavas in whatever config suits the venue (I usually run DIN, but I am not running the Oktavas).

Most importantly, enjoy the show.  They are a great bunch of guys.  Scott Shupe, the bands manager will probably ask for a copy of the show, and give you an addy.

Enjoy!

Got to say ...GO check these guys out if you get a chance.

Really good stuff with LOTS of energy.

I had a wonderful time and got really drunk, I think everybody did...even the band.

The 4th set, yes 4th set was a little on the hilarious side ;D
