Title: ZOOM H2 - battery packs?
Post by: thejamgrasspimp on August 09, 2008, 03:52:45 PM
Howdy.  I was hoping someone could give some advice on where I could find an external rechargeable battery pack for my Zoom H2.  Those that use this mic know it uses 2 AA's up in about 2 hours which is horrible for festivals and long sets.  Anyone had any luck with finding this type of accessory or have a suggestion?  Thanks.

I use a set of Energizer Rechargable NiMh AA's, (mine are the 2500mAh variety- they make them as small as 2000 and as large as 2600 that I have seen) and once they are conditioned from a few charge-discharge cycles, I get about 6 hours on a pair of them. I have not really tried running a new set of alkalines all the way down, but I'm sure they will go for at least 4 hours. I have run the unit for at least a half hour with a flashing "low battery" indicator, so do not be afraid to push it a little, rather than changing during a short set.
