Title: xACT like software for Windows?
Post by: gambra on January 24, 2015, 09:15:03 PM
I've been on the lookout for software that can rename, tag & MD5/FFP hash my files to etree fileset standards. I've been using a combination of foobar, MP3Tag and Traders Little Helper for a while and it's fine for single shows but if I want to do more than a few I'm at it all night trailing arouind various programmes. Is there any alternative? Tagging is the most important part of the set up for me, I listen to all my shows in Foobar & an portable player so tags are absolutely needed for cataloguing/databasing.

Won't solve all your needs, but have you tried tagging and renaming in foobar? I've started  exporting as FLAC tracks directly from Samplitude and then tagging and renaming in foobar. The Live Tagging plugin is sweet if you make standard text files.
