HD help!

was trying to copy a few things off one of my HD's and when i went to high light one of the years it disapeered!  then i did it again.  i know i did not hit the delete.  did i send it some where?  i unpluged and let windows autorun,  and clicked onto to open the HD and the 2yrs r not there! any help would be great.  ed

I do this somewhat regularly.  You accidentally drag and drop the folder into a neighboring folder without realizing it.
