Topic: M Audio BX5 D2>MacBook Pro Interface Recommendations?

I found what I thought was an amazing deal on the BX5 D2 monitors ($149) over the weekend through Sam Ash's online Black Friday sale.

My intent is to use these with my MacBook Pro for playback etc.  I've seen where I can get a Y cable 1/8 Inch TRS to Dual 1/4 inch cable to run directly into the laptop headphone out, however, I'm trying to figure out what would be a decent audio interface that I could get to control volume, adjust bass, treble etc? 

Are there any interfaces that would also have a Phono input?

I run the same speakers and have been thinking  about this.

Has adjustable gain but no bass/treble. Added bonus has optical in/out to transfer your old dats.
