I didn't find a way to dim the meter lights without turning them off - "Stealth Mode" on the demo I had. Have you figured this out? Looked to me like the options were super bright and off, which sucks. Let me know if I missed something.

Brothers

"stealth mode" turns the meters and all lights off when the backlight is off

should be:  out of stealth mode;  pressing the * button toggles the LED's and the backlighting LCD
Holding the * button and scrolling the wheel, dims the LED's
in stealth mode;  (no LCD lit) pressing the * button toggles the LED's

you can give a digi out or analog out on 1/8 or the mini xlrs all at the same time.  outputs are assignable

What are you assigning? The actual outputs source, or channel that can be output, or both?

just threw the spandex on and tried it out.  it's heavier than the mp2 but it fits just below the beltline and above the crotch of the pants.  i think it's possible to use this as a full time stealth box

well, it fits for some people... <wink wink> <nudge nudge>

 ;D

what new drive did you install?

watch out for the digi-out when patching, it's AES format and D8s etc will read copy protection (at least that's the way my 744 is). SD is aware of the problem but they haven't said whether they will fix it or not.

I dont think patching is really going to matter much, because I dont see many people buying this thing and not using it for 24 bit recording...and the amount of 24 bit capable patching decks out there....

also, am i dumb for asking or is there a chance this could get some type of input mod so it could run actives/caps without bodies?

It's an external mod.  They call it "running 4022s".

I'm in love with this thing. I'm with the rest of you. Time to start saving. Glad I didn't pull the trigger on the V3 just yet. It'll be nice to ditch the laptop too.

I'm glad I *did* pull the trigger on the V3, I can't wait to run it in front of this bad boy. ;D ;)

That worked - thanks!
