Must be capable of 24/96 playback in Windows. If it's Mac-compatible too, that's a plus.
And yes, I searched the archives before posting this, so it hasn't been listed as such.
If you can link me to a specific retailer, thanks in advance.

MY ua-1D is junk too, just not bit perfect and because of it, it has very small pops and clicks in random places....
wouldnt that be caused by an imperfect soundcard issue?

Nothing by Edirol is bit-perfect, unfortunately, by their own admission...never seen the UA-3 specifically but I'm assuming it's part of the line?

I use the Cobra card, its great and works under XP for me, but its not 24bit. I think the cheapest 24 bit card is the one made by M-Audio ( I forget its name). But its only 24/48. You can get them on e-bay for around $150

The card I was talking about is the Audiophile 2496. So it is capable of the bit rates that you want. I havnet done any testing with it, but I have heard that it is bit perfect.
