First off, MAKE SURE you have the latest firmware.
You will need an attenator cable if you run into the 1/8 mic-in jack. You could also just go to radioshack and get a 1/4 jack to RCA then a 1/8 to RCA coverter and hook em together. The TRS 1/4 TRS inputs will handle it, the 1/8 mic-in will NOT, and will require the attenuator. I wouldn't reccomend this route though, as it'll not sound as good.
I would recommend using the soundpros dongles made just for this situation.
http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/SP-MICROTRACK-MINI-TRSStraight up 1/8 to 1/4 coverter. This also comes in Right Angle to make it more stealthy. IF you need roll-off and your current batt box uses it, then this is what you'll need.
http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/SP-MICROTRACK-INTERFACESame thing, but in the dongle box version.
http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/SP-MICROTRACK-MIC-POWERIf you want to get rid of the batt box completely, and don't use roll-off... this is for you. That'll power any mics you throw at it at 12v.
http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/SP-MICROTRACK-MIC-POWERIf you need a coverter that coverts 1/8 to 1/4 but ALSO takes the power from the mic-in (4.5v) then this is it. This should be used pretty much ONLY for DPA mics or whatever needs 4.5, since that's all they need.
I'd say the DSM mics would work better, the bass is going to be bumpin and the CS mics have been destroyed trying to deal with it. Check your levels during Line Beings to Blur, if you're good, then you are good for the whole show. Since that song has the most bass.
Other things. Set the level L/M/H selector to L. Make sure you do this, or you will clip the whole show. Be careful to not bump the pause button which is the NAV button while dialing in your levels, I did it a few times by accident, so there is a firsthand tip. Also, use the clipping idicator to your advantage. You don't have to take the thing out ever, because you can just look in your pocket for red flashing. However, you shouldn't have to do this after Line Begins to Blur, because it's the loudset song in the set. Other songs to look out for = The Wretched and Deep (If they play it). Also use the hold slider, it's good to have.
Good luck man! If you got any more questions then just shoot. I don't think anyone has taped NIN more with a MT than me
