Topic: why can't I get my mkw files to play on my comp?

Anyone?

I can't convert them to wav and then to shn....won't work....they don't play on shnamp. WTF am I suposed to do ARGH!!!!?!!!

because MWK is a evil evil format ... its useless to me and probibly to you. Why cant  you convert to wav > shn/flac?

I convert the files to wav then try to convert them to shn and it becomes an error. says something like "stk unable to convert" and it turns in toa 32kb image file

just use winamp3 and use the shn plugin for it, at least you'll be able to listen/clone the shns.......and if this doesnt play right, then theres something wrong w/ yer copy

mkw's should still have an md5 file, run that, if they check out ok convert them to wav...then get the flac frontend from mike wren's site and convert them to flac...the frontend comes with plugins for winamp2 and nero to play and burn them.  i've been having problems with shn lately too, so i've just been putting up all my stuff in flac..works just as well

ya ... i like FLAC better anyway, better compression, intigrated check sums and a cooler name.

yep, i converted most of my collection to flac, when i get it all done, im giving away the shn discs
