honestly, its been nearly a decade since I last used that card...and I hated it.
make sure you are using the ASIO drivers ???  , and then tell your software that it must map through the appropriate hardware.  It might default to the generic windows settings and not the AP card.  that will hose your 24bit action.


I dunno how to do that.

Whats weird tho, is that 24/48 plays FINE, just 24/96 doesnts eem to want to play. I have never tried 88.2, so I have no clue about that eitehr. Maybe I'll try 88.2 in the enar future for shits and giggles.....

go into the preferences of the software you use to play back the files
in there someplace should be a setting where you can tell it what hardware to "map" the audio through.
the AP should list options using various drivers.  just try them all ...

I dont see this anywhere bud. thanks tho!

I donts ee ANY ASIO options in my settings control panel. my clock is set to teh Internal one, it doesnt play on any other clock input. digital output is set to professional. even set to consumer has the same results

ANYONE with a 2496 care to elaborate ???

+T. Now if I could find the SSE3.dll file that I need to put into my fb2k components folder I *THINK* id be good to go. those links in tha thread arent working any longer. So al;l I need to do is put that SSE3.dll file in my fb2k components folder and change the fb2k preferences to FIXED 24-Bit correct ??? man, this shit is over my head somewhat!

search for the file then...
in winblows, start > search > and you know the file name.
easy!

then copy or move file to the appropriate directory.
c:\program files \ foobar200 \ components
