XLR Cables in a pinch - guitar center?
« on: August 06, 2017, 08:36:10 PM »
Would like to get another set of xlr cables for a thing tomorrow. Not going to have time to order them anywhere - any thoughts / recommendations? Was thinking the guitar center near my work might be my best bet.

Not the best option, but certainly not the worse.  Make sure they're shielded and will reduce external interference.  Recording as we do is far more sensitive than using a cable for an instrument or singing.
Normal: Nakamichi CM-700's >> SD 744T (or) Sony PCM-M10
Normal: Crown CM-700's >> SD 302 >> SD 744T
Fun times: 3 Crown CM-700's >> SD 302 >> SD744T + 2 Nakamichi CM-700's >> SD744T
Stealth: CA-14c >> CA 9200 >> Edirol R-09HR
Ultra stealth: AudioReality >> AudioReality battery box >> Edirol R-09HR

You can get a whole range of cables from guitar center I'm sure. You get what you pay for though
