I transferred all my old DATs using my Sony R500 > HD-P2
since you have everything you need already... why buy anything?
hopefully your old D8 will still track your tapes properly

thanks.
darby, i still have a r500 (and hb cd burner) hooked to stereo, could use ther500> p2, or old school using the hb.

I have a samsung System Model   Q430/Q530
 Processor   Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU       M 450  @ 2.40GHz, 2400 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

P2 is probably the way to go

I do my Xfering DAT > P2.  It works freekin' great...

I switch between (2) CF Cards and while I'm tracking out one show, I can transfer a second show...  I use a Card Reader to move the WAVs to my PC, I don't have FW anymore...

***Do you have PHISH, VIDA BLUE, JAZZ MANDOLIN PROJECT or any other Phish related DATs/Tapes/MDs that need to be transferred???  I can do them for you!!!***

I will return your DATs/Tapes/MDs.  I'll also provide Master FLAC files via DropBox.  PM me for details.

Sony PCM R500 > SPDIF > Tascam HD-P2
Nakamichi DR-3 > (Oade Advanced Concert Mod) Tascam HD-P2
Sony MDS-JE510 > Hosa ODL-276 > Tascam HD-P2
