Is there a pre-fab rechargeable option to power BOTH a mod-sbm and a DA-P1 from a single battery? I have the conectors for each unit, as I have batteries for each. Looking to carry one battery instead of two. I recall there being an eco-charge unit that would power both an sbm-1 and a D8.
If this can be done, would someone be willing to build me one? I would just need the battery and two mini-xlr's connected to the battery.

I wouldn't bother running the SBM on an SLA - you'll get long life out of rechargable AAs. In my book, less lead to schlep the better.

the eco-charge bp50 is dual output. you should be able to get 4 hours out of one bp50 running a dap1 and an sbm-1.
it looks like you can get around 14 hours of run time off of a bp50 if you just run an sbm-1 on it.
and a dap1 running by itself on a bp50 should get you 5.5+ hrs.
So it looks like if I'm doing a standard one band, two set show I can get away with only bringing one sla... sweet.

but the p1 pulls 7.6v, and the bp-50 kicks out 6v...i've heard of people running the p1 off 6v, but it seems to me your asking for problems.

I run my off of 6v and everyone I know has always run off of 6v.... I've never heard of any problems. The lcd screen isn't as bright when run off of 6v but I have never hear dof any other problems and I know people that have been running the p1 off of 6v for years.
It didn't seem right to me either but I tried it and nothing blew up so....

not to be critical, but your DAP1 doesn't "pull" voltage. it draws a current at a certain operating voltage, which can vary.
most of the devices we use has an internal voltage regulator. depending on its design, the input voltage is almost certainly stepped up or stepped down and regulated.
for example, let's say your DAP1 regulates it's internal voltage supply at 4volts (a hypothetical value). if you supply 5V - 8V, it will still operate. supplying below 5V will probably not going to run the unit, and supplying over 8V will probably fry something in the power supply.
one thing i've learned in electronics is that there is never an exact value....only close approximations :)

You may want to consider building your own. What you'll find is that you can build your own system for a fraction of the cost.

For rechargeable AA's who makes the most reliable brand? I agree that the less lead to lug the better.
I use the powerex 2000 MAHA batteries. I've ran my SBM-1 for 3 hours and it still had all 4 bars lit.
If you go that route, I would suggest a charger that has battery conditioning.

I use those as well, albeit in a preamp. Great batteries!
