Greetings All,
I picked up a Beyerdynamic MV-100 about a year back & I do love the
thing. I just hate how it chews up & spits out 9V's though. I figured
I'd turn to the pros for some guidance on alternative power options.
In the research I've done I've found the following:
The best "quick fix" option would be to use lithium batteries. My
curiosity on this one is what to truly expect in way of how long
they'd power it (using the phantom power). I've come across
radically different estimations online (from as low as 6-7 hours all
the way up to 25...). The most realistic looking versions seemed
to average out `round 14+ hours. Can anyone shed some more
light from their own experience?
My preferred option would be a battery pack. Finding a dealer
who carries one has been impossible though. It seems there's
powering options for every P/A out there except this one! I'm
not completely confident in my abilities to build one, so buying
would be the way I'd rather fly. Does anyone know of a vendor
that may be of assistance &/or site member who could build one?
I'd need the full set-up - 2x12V, charger & cable/plug for the
MV-100.
Any light y'all can shed on the above will GREATLY appreciated
& I thank you in advance for the informational hookup!
Paz Y Musica,
Ernie
