One shortcut to all this BS is simply to let anyone buy into the Medacare Program for $300 a month.

Medacare is already set up, already has covered surgeries and procedures, and other than allowing Medacare to bargain collectively with Drug Companies, it is an off the shelf program.

exactly, so why do we need a new bill?

I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia

OLED is not new technology...I've had 2 recorders that use a OLED display.  I must say that its pretty impressive to have a TV that thin.

With all the DRM BS flying around, I don't know if I'd buy a TV without analog inputs.
Out of the game … for now?

sony new tv is on yahoo

I predict John Kelly to be an early adopter on this one.   :)

Not me.  The base completely ruins the TV for me.  It is almost as deep as my current plasma TV!

It is cool that they can get the display that thin, but it is impractical.  Until we get a standard wireless connection from components to the TVs we'll always need wired connections, which means the TV has to be at least thick enough to accommodate those connections.

Cool technology, but not currently practical.
