$3k ??  wtf? ???

The MT oughta make some bucks out of here is right!

The MINIR2 should be available in august 2005 for ~ 2500 euros.
No idea of the MINIR82 price but it should be out in june 2005.

The MINIR82 is 8 channels and 6,000 dollars... minir2 is about 3400 bucks. from these prices..

all depends, if this box has a quality pre built into it similar to ths sax pre and a reasonable limiter, this could be competition to the 722...especially in stealthing situations

It's got a remote which the maudio and the r1 don't have. As long as you can view levels on it, that's a huge feature for stealthing.

Why?
If you have to adjust some part is already clipping or at least not so well recorded. If this happens during a show this is no good.

because volume goes up throughout shows in a lot of cases...this allows you to react rather than be blind because you have the recorder running in your pocket/fanny pack and no idea it is clipping...most stealthers know how to set their gear so that they are bumping zero's then to keep an eye on it and keep levels in check....
