i found a D1624 but not shure yet if it's a mkI or mkII.
Now the question is:
Is it possible to upgrade a mkI 1624's software to the v2.0 release?
The latest update i found (
here) is marked v1.08 but is dated 2001. When did they released the "V2.0" update?
this is an excerpt of what i read about nthe v2.0 improvements (some of them actually useful for me too):
"Software V2.0
The list of changes and improvements is significant and includes: mute-less Punch Out; Chain Play (allows playing back songs according to programmed playlist); Mark Stop function to stop a song at a desired locate point; Footswitch Play/Stop in addition to Punch In/Out; Auto EE mode to automatically activate All Input Monitor at Stop; 88.2kHz sampling frequency (for a total of 6 choices from
44.1kHz/16bit to 96kHz/24bit); and sampling frequency selectable per program.
Importantly, the total number of tracks (with track naming) has been increased from 24 to 56. This translates into 16 simultaneous playback tracks plus 40 additional virtual tracks on the D1624 MkII."
