Casey Birchwood makes a product that will turn the brass black....just soak the colette in 50/50 diluted Muriatic Acid for 10 minutes...remove with tweezers and rinse...then use the Brass Black

Once I have AKG active collettes in my hands (that work of course), I won't care if they're if they're painted pink with unicorn stickers on them. I might even add glitter.
