I found this digidesign mbox 2 pro....I think I can get a good deal on it...
Has anyone here ever used it?
Also, the same guy has a bluebird microphone....anyone know about that?
The mbox would also come with Pro tools 7.3....

Depends on what you consider "decent". Digi's pres and converters are not in the high end category, even on the TDM side. The Mbox won't work stand-alone as far as I know, so you'll have to record into PT on a computer.
The Bluebird is an OK mic for vocals, but it's nothing special. Never tried it on anything else.

The pre's are alright...nothing amazing, but aren't bad either.
The new Mbox's are solid computer interfaces, and Protools is still my DAW of choice. I have a mini, and use it as my soundcard and to run protools. If I'm recording directly into the computer, I'll usually run another pre and go line-in to the Mbox.

+T's to both for your replies...
I think I am going to pass...the seller won't budge past $400 and I don't want to pay that much...he is local here, so I can always find him if I change my mind...if he keeps it....

Yeah, I'd pass. For a little more than $400 you could get a brand new Mbox 2.
The pres in the mbox are Focusrite pres, but as said before nothing to truly write home about. Other than their cleanliness.
I like the blue bird, personally.
It's a little more to my liking than the baby bottle and definitely works on more than just vocals. (I've used 2 on rack toms that came out spectacular)
How much was he asking for the bird?

I use my mbox to plug in my Paul Reed Smith custom 22 guitar, record vocals, keyboards, drums and so forth. I use it as a 4 track along with pro tools.
Not really good for a pre unless you use USB and a computer. Mbox's are mostly used to run your own intsturments
jsut some fyi
