Title: B&K 202 and B&K pre opinions?
Post by: Genghis Cougar Mellen Khan on November 01, 2005, 08:55:53 PM
I have new toys on the way and I don't have a pre-amp to speak of.  Right now I have a B&K ST202 plus- I just purchased and have the opportunity to buy the B&K PRO 5 pre-amp for $250.  From what I've read the two paired up are a nice match.  I can't afford another upgrade until after tax season, I need a pre!  Any suggestions?  Cash is tight!
The price seems fair, if I plan on upgrading soon I think I could off it for a decent turn-around.  I'd have more coin, but I decided to pay the extra cash and get a pair of B&W 805s's instead of the 705's.

If anyone feels up to it, I'll set up a Pay-Pal donation site for my playback welfare fund.  ;D

New twist to the saga...

I had a chance to play with both the 705 and 805 a bit more, when I really sat down and gave a blind test I chose the 705's maybe 60/40 over the 805's, I went back to the 705's.  Picked up Trey's AQ1001DT up from the Yard sale...
