How to save a corrupted 24/96 wav?

I was recording on my R09HR and suddenly lost power.  The entire recording transferred fine from my card to my computer and will playback in VLC, but will not open in Soundforge or r8brain (I'm trying to get it down to 16/44.1).  Any ideas on utilities that can help me out?

The first rule of data recovery is not to make any changes -at all- to the original media until you have completely recovered the audio.

What result do you get with pigiron's utility?

You haven't told us much.  Stuff like the file size on disk, the reported duration vs. how long you think it should be, the sample rate&depth, the specific outcome of any recovery actions you have attempted...   You say it plays in vlc, so the recovery should be pretty simple.

I got it!!!  It took me a while to figure out how to use pigiron's utility, but that seems to have done the trick!  1.60GB, 49min, 45sec at 24/96 fully restored!  Thanks to all!

It's great that you saved the file!

A quicker easier way if it happens again is to use the HR's repair function described on page 80 of the manual. Worked great for me the 1 time I needed it. Too bad only the R-09 & R-09HR have a utility like this, as far as I know.
