word, convert to flac and store on CD-R. You can even put 2 or even 3 shows per disc depending on length
Hah, sometimes I have a hard time fitting a show on just one CD. If I recorded at 48khz, I know of a few shows that wouldn't compress down enough. Really pisses me off when I can't fit a show on one CD.
My workflow is like this:
1) Transfer recording from JB3 to computer
2) rename file to reflect band & date
3) type up rough setlist info, recording date, venue, source, mic config, etc
4) *optional* track out the show in CDWav and save the CUE sheet
5) compress the raw recording to FLAC or SHN
6) burn compressed file+md5, setlist, and possibly cue sheet to CD for archival
7) do any EQ, normalizing, downsampling, etc.
load processed file in CD Wave and output the tracks using CUE sheet created earlier
9) do any fades, etc
10) SHN or FLAC the individual tracks, generate md5s
11) somewhere in there do a proper setlist with song names
12) Burn processed/tracked show off to CD for archival
13) Delete all that shit off my HD to make room for more porn.
