sub reccomendations

Hey guys,

I am just getting into the playback thing, and am buying nick's B&w's to get me started.  From the reviews I have read, and from Nick's recc's., I think they will benefit a little from having a sub placed into the mix.  I don't want to spend too much at this point, as I have the experiuence of paying rent in the very near future, so I was looking for something in the ~300 dollar range that would play nice.  Obviously, this will be used in a smaller room since it is an apartment if that matters at all.  So I guess some reccomendations would be great!
