Live event help needed

Taping a talent show in a large venue.  i will be using a Fostex FR2 for the first time asr separate audio.  I do not know how to hook up to the house board.  Any tips or advice how to configure it with the FR2. I am using a Sound Devices 302 field mixer as well.

I spoke to the house mixer at the venue.  He said he would give me a line out from "Aux" rather than pre amp.  I asked him if my levels would be affected when he fades, he told me no.  the only time I can make it in there is the day of the event. 

Will a line level out of "Aux" work or will I have to ride the levels all night?
