Anyone know where the headphone amp fall is relation to the mic pres, and the AD? Is it converted back to analog for the monitor or are you just hearing the source after the mic/inst amps?

On the MMe you can blend the headphone mix. You can monitor the analog input or the USB return form the CPU or blend the two using the front knob labeled "Mix".
So the straight mix is pre conversion. If you use a CPU you can monitor after.
