Can anyone recommend a good (cheap) place to buy an OEM version of Windown XP Pro?

i went into a little computer shop here. they told me they couldn't outright sell me the software, unless they gave me something(?). so they gave me a pen and sold the oem xp pro cd.

Actually they're not allowed to sell the OEM version. What they did was give you a free copy of XP with the purchase of that (very expensive, I'm sure) pen. ;D

Yeah I'm familiar with the need for the OS to be sold with hardware. This often takes the form of a broken HD or motherboard.

I found it for $102.00 + 6.00 shipping. Seems like a pretty good deal. Has anyone seen it cheaper before i place my order?

The $102 price was for a full OEM version of XP pro.

are you in school, or have a relative that is? i am able to pick up copies in the bookstore for $5.
