Channel distortion - JB3 and Denecke AD20
« on: July 27, 2004, 03:07:58 PM »
I can only get one channel through the JB3. The problem seems to be the connection between the SP-SPSB-6 battery module  and the SP-XLRM-MINI-2 stereo "Y" adapter
(which connects to the Denecke). Am I missing an adapter between the two, like a line transformer? One channel sounds clean, the other channel I get distortion. I pulled
the mics off, I could still hear the distortion through my earphones.  I even switched the XLR connection around (left to right, right to left) and the same results.

Hear is my setup for stealth: Giant Squid cardioids > SP-SPSB-6 > SP-XLRM- MINI-2 >
Denecke AD20 > Toslink right angles > NJB3.  Recording through Optical Line In > WAV.
