Topic: AKG Shock Mount?

AKG shock mount.  Is this a standard mount that fits all AKG mics?

I've looked around & can't seen to find a shock mount specific to AKG 480's.
Does that mean that any AKG shock mount will work?

Also, why exactly is a shock mount important...vs. the standard mount that comes with these mics?

I believe most folks are using the AT8410s

Guess I outta use more common sense.

I just found the diameter of the mics (21 mm), now I gotta see if the shock mount will accept a 21mm mic.
