Here's another Indiegogo microphone/recorder project that caught my attention...
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/instamic-the-smart-small-gopro-of-microphones#/storyThe Pro version of Instamic will record stereo 24-bit/48kHz uncompressed wav. Up to 4 hours recording on a single charge. Pairs with iOS/Android so you can stop/start/pause recording, adjust recording levels, all from your smartphone. Internal flash memory is 2GB, so it'll only hold 2 hours of 24 bit audio. I messaged the project creator about the 2 hour limit. He replied back saying the Instamic specs will be bumped, so it will be capable of recording more than 2 hours at 24 bit. If this project pans out, it might be a decent option for stealth recording. With bigger venues now employing enhanced security like walk-through metal detectors, it's becoming more of a challenge to stealth. I like that it's small enough to mount to a hat, with no wires to deal with. It'll have different mounting options like tape, Velcro, magnet. Won't be out til Q1 2016 though, if it ships on time. Or ships at all. You never know with these crowdfunding campaigns.
