Meyer So. Bluehorny
« on: October 04, 2018, 05:37:06 AM »
Meyer Sound will be showing off their new Bluehorn Speakers at AES this month.
Extremely flat response horns !

Finally the question as to what made Klipsch so delightful.
Was it horn acceleration / expansion ?  ...or was it their remarkable coloration ?

If I read correct they are $80,000. There is a lot of competition in that price range for best sound. However, ultimately I wouldn't ever experience it in my home. Maybe in 20 years when I can pick them up used.

Imagining a Cerwin Vega XLS 215 across the hall looking all hot and bothered in red,

..a late-night conference-hotel ménage à trois with a dirty-minded little white-coned NS10,

..and the resulting bastard love-child of the three,

..a screaming guitar speaker with the colic-

His eccentricity and reputation as a gadfly in the audio industry!

No bullshit.

They are self powered. So, at least you have saved money on amplification.

I don't know...for $80k I doubt these would be on my short list for speakers/amplification I'd want to use at home.  Badass nonetheless.
