wavelab dither ?
« on: February 28, 2004, 03:42:50 AM »
ok, call me an idiot here, cuz i'm sure that this is really easy...and i apoligize for not searching this (sorry brian), but its 3:40 in the morning and i have a headache.

anyway, i'm trying to dither a 24bit file to a 16bit file with wavelab, but when i dither it seems to do the process, however, when it finishes it still says 24bit at the bottom.  I see i can save the file as a 16bit file, but when i do that is actually dithering too, or just giving the file a 16bit header?

sorry, i know how to do this in cool edit and in soundforge, but i know that wavelab is best for dithering so i'd like to use it.

thanks
ed

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.
