Troubleshooting DAT>Echo MIA transfer
« on: February 28, 2004, 02:29:33 PM »
Hey Everyone!

Ya know, i've transferred shows before via my Tascam DA20>Echo Mia card with no major problems before.

Now, all of a sudden, i cannot hear the two shows i taped yesterday through my pc speakers.  I've checked cable connection, volume controls in case i muted something (i played some tunes on my HD successfully).

I went through the setup on the console3 and cannot find anything i'm doing wrong.  I'm at a loss.  I also made sure to check the deck to make sure i had the input set to coax.  Under console3/Mia settings/Digital in set to Purewave (i've also tried WDM with no success).  My driver version is 6.07.  Any tips?

I see the digital in meters bouncing around in direct comparison to the dat's meters, so the sound is getting through to the console, but i cannot hear anything through the speakers...what the heck am i doing wrong?

 ???

Here's a quick run-down of my Mia settings in console3:

Under the Driver tab:

The sample rate is locked at 44,100
Synchonronized wave devices is checked
Under Advanced, digital in is set to Purewave

The first three boxes are checked under the Console tab

Under Digital I/O i have Consumer format (S/pdif checked)

GSIF is set to 2,048 samples

Under the main screen in console3, i have all the other meters muted except the digital in and the sp/dif button is pushed in with a green light next to it.  There's also a green light on next to internal.  I see the meter's bouncing up and down on both the Digital in meters and Digital out meters.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
