skipping on a transfer
« on: September 30, 2004, 05:15:10 PM »
so the master dat is clean.  in wavelab and the flacs there are what sounds like skips during one song.  don't know if it happen in the dat>pc or from editing and saving in wavelab.  my dumbass didn't save the original wav so I can't check it.  thoughts??  using xp (I think I got rid of all sp2 stuff)  never had issues before.  oh and I defraged before transfering.

I had skips and repeats happen due to some RAM going bad. Of course, it wasn't consistent, and I had to pull out my RAM cards one by one to diagnose the problem - HUGE pain - but that's what I'd check if your disc is defragged...
