Post by: creekfreak on October 14, 2006, 04:28:43 PM
Just picked one of these up as part of my home theater upgrade..any one use one of these? Seemed like a really loaded unit..have been a pioneer receiver guy for a long time, but wanted to check out the Denon sound. Heard it can be a complicated receiver to get use to

The 4306 is basicallt a 3806 with Windows Media (i.e. Ethernet) connectivity. The amp, processing, and ps are all the same. You don't get a real difference till the 4806 when you add a torodial transformer, bigger amp and seriously boosted ps... that being said the 3806, etc. is a pretty damn good home theater amp.

I've been toying with the idea of upgrading from the Sony 3000ES, but am not sure what I'd get. Was looking at the 4306/3806.... Hrmmmm might have to make a visit to Magnolia HiFi again..
