Title: .avi help
Post by: kskreider on July 12, 2004, 07:12:06 PM
Sorry for the lack of ts content.

Man, the wife has me downloading TV shows on BitTorrent for her and this one season is all in .avi format.  She is fine with watching them on the new lappy, but I CANNOT get Windows Media Player 9 to play it after downloading the friggin' CODEC pack from MicroSlut.  Then I tried InterVideo which is some sleazy DVD app that Sony tagged on our new laptop, no go.  Then I tried downloading HyPlay which totes itself as an ".avi player" and guess what...IT DOESNT FUCKING PLAY!

I'm at the end of my rope here folks.  If anyone has a direct .avi CODEC pack link that can keep a poor boy from a mass-murdering spree, our upstate NY community thatnks you.   :P

I'd put money on that .avi being DivX encoded.

Go grab the player there and see if it helps.
