Tinybox battery replacement in UK (or possibly Europe)
« on: December 27, 2022, 02:53:10 PM »
So what are my options... I'm fairly certain the Li-ion pack is more than due for renewal but with Naiant no longer providing the replacement service and even the NiMH pack they link to costing $160 postage (on a $15 battery) I'm a bit stumped.

I've not had much luck finding exact replacements for sale in this country - someone help, please...

You can email Jon.  He is pretty responsive these days.  sound@naiant.com

If you are handy you could just open it up and do the swap yourself.  Good luck!

I did send an email but was worried I'd just get a pointer to the US battery sites... We shall see!

Any other pointers, please? That shop seems to be out of stock.

Naiant replied that the battery should be easy to replace as the pack uses a standard type. Looking at the website Jon links to it looks like the original pack is a pair of cells that appear to be these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/14430-battery/s?k=14430+battery

If I can't find a pre-made pack is there more to this than simply wiring the cells together and terminating them?
