Title: Airhead headphone Amp

$100 isn't bad? I saw another one go for 150, so i said the hell with it and picked one up. Now to pick up some new phones......John R. mentioned some senn's.....(i forget which model) I'll check the headphone thread for other opinions.

not bad at all to get a unit for 1/3 the price.  Headphone wise, I have a set of Grado SR80s that I love, but I know most dont like the way they sit on your ears....I definitely like the sound though

yeah, i was just reading about the way the grado's sit on your ears and the senn's surround them. I like a really comfrotable set, so I may go that rout. You have a headphone amp, correct? Big Difference, eh..

huge difference....I am shocked by how much it brings out the detail.  As an example, I was listening to a show I taped the other day and I hear a cell phone ring in over my shoulder, and it was actually on the tape....I had listened to this tape MANY times and had never heard this before...

nice. I'm thinking about the senn HD590's.....But they are a little pricy.
