antistatic bubble wrap/foam??
« on: June 05, 2007, 02:00:21 PM »
alright, yall got me scared here.  i just got mics, looking to keep them in a case in my bag, with the capsules on the bodies (peluso cemc6 if that matters).  im looking around for a box for them, probably going to walmart and buy some small waterproof plastic hunting box.

do i need to worry about antistatic foam?  if the capsules are on the mic bodies i have nothing to worry about right?  i have seen some posts about keeping the silica pack crap in the box with the mics, that seems like a good idea.  so, im cool right, i dont need to worry?  as long as the caps stay on the mics its a no issue right?
thanks, Cd

You are probably thinking about this thread: http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=78025.0  The end result was that with the caps on, you probably don't have anything to worry about.  Think either small Pelican case, or tupperware.  Both are waterproof.
