New AETA Audio 3-channel mixer: the MIXY
« on: September 03, 2007, 10:16:15 AM »
I just received this e-mail from AETA Audio about their new 3-channel mixer that has both analog and digital outputs.  It actually looks pretty cool.  I e-mailed AETA back to see what the expected price will be and to see whether it has transformer inputs or if it is more like the PSP-3.  I will keep you posted with responses.

"We are participating at the AES in NY next October 5th to 8th (booth 877)

We will showcase our new mixer MIXY and it would be the perfect occasion for the PSP 2 users to know the new product based on EAA experience and future-orientated with analog and digital functions."

This thing looks very nice. 5 selectable inputs, A>D availablity, MS decoding and USB connectivity. Plus 10 hours on internal battery. Wonder if it will be under $2000

Valerie from AETA just e-mailed me back and said that the price will be 1,600 Euro when it comes out and that it will not be transformer-based, but have a gain stage more akin to that of the PSP-3.  Just FYI.

I am in contact with AETA so if anybody has any questions about this unit, feel free to post them and I can forward them on.

Now if somehow it actually sounded like a PSP-2 we would have a winner! DING DING
I know you like, tape for people's approval and stuff, and wave your tapes around like they're your dick...  but even you can't actually think section tapes from philips sound good.
