Quick Blumein ?
« on: August 17, 2005, 05:09:02 PM »
Would it be bad to run it at about 7ft high, ~20ft away from the stage, with a bar to the side?

If not which would you use?

Card, omni and fig 8 available.

Bar back and to the side, I assume?  Depends on how chatty you expect the crowd to be.  If you expect a quiet crowd, Blumlein at 7' should work out fine.  If you expect a chatty crowd, or want to play it safe, I'd run cards XY.

mid/side could be nice too, especially if the chattyness of the crowd is an unknown, dial out the crowd by dialing out the side in post if chatty, or dial in the ambiance by dialing in more side if the crowd is respectful

recording smokes, but maybe the fact i recorded in 24/96 helped that.

I love the mice, but can't stand its size.  Gonna have to go regardless.

I dont know if I would run Blumlein or M/S inside of a bar. I find most M/S done out side sound great and the few Blumleins that I have heard have all been out doors.
