Title: Power Source?

Ok, say i have a minidisc, and a microphone. i know it really sucks, but bear with me. i dont want to buy a battery, can I plug into a socket, and what cable(s) would i need to do it?

because AA batteries are so expensive and hard to come by these days... ???

will the batteries in the minidisc also power the mic if it has no battery?
