Title: setup for noise/avantgarde/experimental/electronics/psych
Post by: a-lo on July 18, 2008, 01:49:59 PM
looking to get a handheld recorder.  mostly stealth stuff.

Basically, the music i'll be recording generally has a very very wide dynamic range.  usually its a combination of acoustic sounds and loud electronics and can range from very quiet to very loud (100 plus dB).

I'm guessing that i'll need a something with a low signal to noise ratio.  I've heard the sony pcm-d50 is good for that?  Anybody else record this type of music and have a setup thats worked for them?

excuse my newb-y-nesss.
