Here's a lithium polymer rechargable with adjustable voltage:

Pricy, but small, light and flexible.

polymers can be very unstable while charging.
Be careful and charge in a fireproof area.
I have read of people charging their polymers in a fireproof briefcase/safe.

But no capacity rating... ^-^

These things have different capacity depending on the output voltage. The old Power Runner, for which this is a replacement, claimed 12 Ah at 3V, 8Ah at 4.5V, 7.2 Ah at 5V, 6Ah at 6V, 4.8 Ah at 7.5V and 4 Ah at 9 to 12V. For what its worth, I have two data points on the Tekkeon running a Fostex FR2:
3.5 hours plus, using a 5 GB PCMCIA Toshiba hard drive but not phantom power
5 hours plus using a Sandisk 8 GB CF card and powering DPA 4052 compact omnis at 48V

I spoke with Tekkeon today and got the power ratings for various voltages for the MyPowerAll:
3V 11,000 mAh
4.5V 7800 mAh
5V 7200 mAh
6 V 6000 mAh
7.5 V 4800 mAh
9V 4000 mAh
12V 3000 mAh
14V 2800 mAh

They just quoted me the same ratings. Funny that I should have known to look here first. I just picked one of these up for the whopping price of $25 + $3.85 shipping. This thing is light and SOLID. One device now powers my PDA, my JB3, my Vaio Laptop, my Dell laptop, etc.
I am dying to take it apart...what is wrong with me?? ??? My initial guess is two li-po 7.4v's inside.

Fleabay. FWIW, my little sister up in Portland, OR bought me one of those digital camera battery packs from Fred Meyer as well. Man, that is a badass little box too. It is a little bigger than a box of playing cards and does 3v, 4,5v, 5v, 6v, 6.5v, and 8.4v. At 5v it lasts for something like 3800mah. Not bad at all for 29.99 and no sales tax. ;D
